Renegades Alumni Update: Christopher Thompson
YOUR Renegades are extremely proud of all of the players that have pulled on our uniform over the years and there is nothing we like more than to celebrate their success.
Christopher Thompson, a goaltender for North York during the team’s run to the Russell Cup last season, is now playing in the Ontario Junior Hockey League with the Aurora Tigers!
“Chris was an integral part of our South Division championship team last season,’ said Renegades goalie development coach Albert Parente. “He was great for us last season in every game he played. We are really excited and happy for Chris about his advancement to the Aurora Tigers in the OJHL! Congratulations and best of luck for the remainder of the season!!”
Thompson has started several games for the Tigers in February and continues to improve due to his perseverance and hard work, which doesn’t surprise Parente.
“Chris was willing to learn and get even better from the get go,” Parente said of working with the 6-foot-4 North York native. “We knew he had an advanced skill set and was able to use his size and technical play to his advantage. His quickness and awareness of developing plays made him extremely successful last season, and that success has carried over into his current year in the OJHL.”
Congrats on your continued success, Christopher! You will always be #unitedinred!
