Renegades Alumni Update: Nick Gagne

YOUR Renegades are extremely proud of all of the players that have pulled on our uniform over the years and there is nothing we like more than to celebrate their success.

Goaltender Nick Gagne, who spent last season with YOUR Renegades, is playing ACHA Division 1 hockey with Canisius College and is pushing hard to move up to an NCAA D3 team next season or even a shot at NCAA D1 at Canisius.

Gagne wanted to give a big shoutout to YOUR Renegades for everything they did to help him develop and grow as a player.

“From the training to the team atmosphere, I couldn’t have asked for a better junior experience,” Gagne said. “Huge thanks to the coaches for the support and structure you gave us. The workouts with strength coaches after practice and those goalie sessions on off days kept us on track and constantly improving.”

Even though Gagne is playing in a different country, he still thinks about his former team and how much the organization still means to him.

“The Renegades don’t just talk about helping you move up; they really put in the work to make it happen,” Gagne said. “Junior hockey with the Renegades was top-notch — from the game intensity and team outings. I can’t imagine having played anywhere else in the GMHL.

“I’ll definitely be stopping by to catch a game and visit over Christmas break. Appreciate everything, and keep doing what you’re doing, Renegades!”

Congrats Nick! We will continue to watch your career unfold. You will always be #unitedinred
