YOUR Renegades are pleased to welcome Paul “Pauly” Di Carlo to the coaching staff as Assistant Coach, with a focus on defence and player development.

Di Carlo brings more than 15 years of coaching, scouting, mentorship and player-development experience to North York, along with an extensive background at the minor hockey and junior levels.

As a player, Di Carlo competed in AAA hockey with several organizations throughout the GTA. His development led to a recruitment opportunity with Michigan State University’s NCAA Division I program, and he was also drafted by the Peterborough Petes of the OHL.

Since moving into coaching, Di Carlo has worked extensively throughout the GTHL at the A, AA and AAA levels. He has also coached, scouted and developed players at the Junior A level, helping more than 75 players advance to Junior A, university and professional hockey opportunities across North America and Europe.

His scouting background includes serving as Director of Scouting for the Caledon Admirals, Bombers and Hawks, along with Junior A scouting roles with the Markham Royals and Cobourg Cougars of the OJHL.

Di Carlo also previously served as an Assistant Defence Coach with the Cobourg Cougars, providing additional experience in defensive development, player evaluation and coaching at the junior level.

He is also the owner and instructor of M.I.T. D-ZONE Hockey Academy, where his focus is on player development, mentorship and helping athletes prepare for the next stage of their hockey careers.

Di Carlo joins YOUR Renegades with a strong understanding of defensive development and a track record of helping players progress through the hockey system.

The organization looks forward to having his experience and knowledge on the bench as YOUR Renegades continue building the program for the 2026/27 GMHL season.

Welcome to YOUR Renegades, Pauly.
